The Pilot Ag Theft Prevention Camera Program which was implemented in Council District 1 has been completed.

We are actively working to secure funding for additional districts in Hawai'i County.

Agricultural Theft and Trespass Reporting Form

We encourage farmers and ranchers to complete a self-reporting form for any violations. Incidents of trespassing and theft are often under-reported. This gap in statistical data diminishes the legislative urgency for the financial support needed to enhance staffing and invest in anti-theft equipment that the police require to combat these hidden criminal activities.

The Department of Research and Development, in partnership with the Hawai‘i Police Department and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, has created a fillable form for victims of agricultural theft or trespass. This form can be prepared and left for the responding officer.
